question about an acer laptop that has the manufacturer listed as a dell?

I have ruined an Acer Aspire 5335-2257 laptop and the windows on it so that someone reinstalled the windows, but use a dell reinstall cd, and I didn’t at the time that they have used a Dell version. Now my certain things is not working on my laptop as my webcam and so on. Suggestions on what to do?

Do you have the original software backed up somewhere? The best way to fix this is to install the original operating system that you had because that had all of the specific components of your laptop included. Otherwise you will have to go to your device manager (can’t tell you how to get there without the OS) and find your webcam and download the drivers to install it again from acer (if they even have them somewhere to download). If you purchased your laptop and had a valid copy of an operating system I would contact acer and try and have them help you get the original operating system back.
Your stuff doesnt work because that OS disc only had DeLL drivers. You need to go to Acer and get the drivers for your model.
Install them, ALL of them, and you’ll be fine.
Then get rid of that thing…Acer are the absolute worst.
