How do you restore a Apple Laptop computer?

24 February 2010 3 Comments

I would like to restore my Apple computer back to factory default settings. It was freezing and not working properly. I wonder, do I need a restore disk on my Apple laptop, or I can do it yourself from the computer?

Restoring your Mac will not solve your problem; it will create a lot of work for you. If it’s freezing, you need to create an account at the Apple Discussions forums and post the details of your problem there. Someone will be able to help solve your problem then.

What you’ve given us so far is not nearly enough to answer your question. It’s your job to provide details on the problem; you can’t expect us to guess at what it is.

You need a disk to restore your laptop. Once you have obtained a disk, insert it into your drive and reboot the computer. As the laptop starts to boot (at the white screen) hold the C key. The CD should boot up and you will need to follow the on-screen instructions from there.
