How can i reformat a gateway laptop without a boot disk?

i need to reformat (or reboot to factory…whatever its called i need the computer to be like it was when we first bought it) but i don’t have the disk that i keep reading about online and everything…it is a gateway laptop is it possible to reformat it or will i have to have a disk?

You should have a partition probably marked as drive D: that has your boot restore on it.
During your boot sequence press F8, F10 or F12 depending on the PC to go to your boot up options.
Some gateways have whats called an internal boot to restore, you would know when you boot the first screen will have some options at the bottom press f2 for setup etc etc one might say press f10 for restore or someething to that affect. If not then you will need to call them and get a restore disk sent to you.
