How do you reformatt a Gateway laptop that came with no disk ?

Well, I have a Gateway laptop that is stuck in safe mode, and I just want reformatthe damn thing. However, I bought it online and it does not come with a hard drive. Can I format too and how?

When it goes to safe mode there is something it wants you to fix.
Go to Gateway and look for support. It might be with the f1 help key.
Re-formatting the hard drive will ruin it. I have lost count of all the people who did that. Then they ask why they cannot re-install the windows OS.
You will regret it. You are frustrated, but please do not “lobotomize” your computer.
You have no disks or DVDs! (why did you buy it, was it really cheap)
All recent laptops (and desktops for that matter) have no installation disk but come with a “Recovery” partition (usually named “D”).
The better way to find out about your system is as follows:
1) Go here: http://support.gateway.com/support/srt/allsysteminfo.aspx?cmpid=topnav
2) Enter you serial number in the middle window.
You will have your personalized information to help you.
