    I have a vgn-cs110D I bought it months ago. after 1 month the fan started to make such a noise!. I took it to Sony service, it took 3 weeks that they fixed it!. After 2 months the sound started again. I called them. they said ” Don’t worry! it is so nice of us that we give you 1 year extended warranty for this problem for this series! take it to service center again! They will fix it” and i asked if the problem happens again? they said ” you have to pay probably!!” this product is rubbish!

    Yes indeed CS had a failure for the factory-out for the fan. If this happen for the 2nd time that is surely due to the user by its own. I am using a FW series for entertain but most of the time I’ve been using my CS-32G.. Almost all the work done made assisted with my CS.. Its really do satisfied me.. This is just my perception, most important is you are satisfied with it.. and never ever jeopardise youself when you can get something satify you better than what you had.

    no you call up sony, and they will tell you which computer stores do warrenty repairs for them, once you get that places number call them and tell them the issue

    i own the cs16g best lap tp iv ever had. i use it for my electrical business , after replacing the fan i recommend it to anyone quality laptop for sure.

    i had the same problem. the cs series is a great model but it came with a factory fault which is the fan , if you have your reciept sony should replace the fan for free. mine is perfect now

    I just got my CS in october and I have been have issues to with the dam fan noise!! It’s very disapointing because it’s my first laptop and I wish I would’ve researched the vaio before I bought it. Havnt had any trouble with performance..yet but the fan litterally make me want to shut it down and not use it like right this second!!

    I have a Cs series laptop. The fan started to make an awful noise. So i had to get the fan replaced. But it eventually started to make noise again. Its okay if its your first laptop or something, but I would not recommend it.

    CS is pretty amateuristic and looks like it was created in a 2 day period.

    @n0Gain You could get more for your money if you go for the FW series.
    It “does” have an ATI graphics card, but it will out perform that one pretty good.

    Though get what you feel is right for you. :)

    Btw, its an ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 (512MB/1GB).
