I’ll be typing and next thing I know I’m typing three lines back or who knows where. Very annoying. It’s a Fujitsu Lifebook 3010 and it gets hot pretty quick even with the fan under it, could that be the reason?

Fujitsu Laptop with a bad LCD. seems to work ok, memtest’86 came out clean. Includes a copy of the restore discs. No adapter, takes 19v, same as many Toshiba’s, standard barrel connector, nothing fancy.

I have tried the the Windows sound settings (Vista) but to no avail. I also tried removing/inserting the power cable during Windows startup and it still made this (very loud) beep sound, so maybe that indicates it is a Fujitsu setting? It causes me no end of problems when I have to plug my laptop in whilst in a lecture or the library!
